Minister: Russia may adjust personal income tax from 2018

MOSCOW, Oct 23 (PRIME) -- Russian personal income tax, which currently stands at a flat 13%, may be adjusted from 2018, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said at a meeting with the State Duma, the parliament’s lower chamber, on Friday.

“We've said that the taxation legislation will not be changed until 2018 when developing the taxation policy for the coming three years. That is why we believe that the decision must be maintained for tax payers and the tax burden must not be changed, increased until 2018,” he said.

“After that we believe we can adjust some points of tax legislation. We believe that we can also improve personal income tax collection.”
